Parenting

Over the past 10 years I’ve worked with hundreds of women who are mothers that feel they are bridging the gap between worlds. The world they grew up in and the world they have always desired to create. These women, likely you too, have read parenting books, taken birth classes, fight to  keep their tweens off youtube and yet feel more disconnected from themselves than ever.

I see this time and time again where the more knowledge someone gains of "how to mother" start to managing their husband and their children instead of mothering from an intuitive place.

Managing your children and your husband feels out of alignment for you and it often results in more frustration and fights over the kitchen trash not being taken out.

Let's circle back to your husband have you ever:

Mess up cooking his eggs and instead of listening to him complain about it and getting irritated - you re-make the eggs because it is easier?
Or you have a favorite meal that you LOVE but because your husband doesn’t really like it (even though your kids do) you never make it.

I’ve worked with moms who are desperate to get lost in their latest novel but because their partner doesn’t like it when they go upstairs to read alone, they end up staying up too late, watching TV they don’t even enjoy.

In the short term, these feel easier but fast forward 5 years and here is what this looks like: You managing the mental load of everything and you increasingly irritable because your needs are never considered.
