  • I stopped taking insurance so that I could provide flexible, mother-centered care to my clients. I am an out-of-network provider, which means that I do not bill insurance companies for my services. I provide monthly superbills that you can use to submit to your insurance for a possible partial reimbursement.

You are responsible for contacting your insurance company to determine if you have out-of-network benefits and what they are, and for submitting claims.

Please keep in mind that there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse for my services, and therefore, reimbursement should not be considered a financial necessity to participate in services with me.

Additionally, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must provide patience who aren’t using insurance, an estimate of the expected health care costs. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate prior to your intake appointment.

When utilizing out of network insurance I recommend asking these questions

When utilizing out of network insurance I recommend asking these questions to your insurance provider to help determine your benefits:

Does my health insurance plan include mental health benefits?

What are my out-of-network mental health benefits?

Do I have a deductible? If so, what is it, and have I met it yet?

Does my plan limit how many sessions per calendar year I can have? If so, what is the limit?

Do I need written approval from my primary care physician in order for services to be covered?
